Star Showers CR001 PBR
Star Showers has been selected for its prostrate ground cover habit and lovely silver foliage. Dainty white star shaped flowers appear in autumn through to early spring.
POSITION: Star Showers grows well in both dappled shade and full sun. It is adaptable to most well drained soils and is a versatile plant and especially suited for coastal areas. Once this plant is established it will tolerate short periods of dry and light frost conditions.
CONDITIONS: Soil pH: 4.5 to 6.0
Soil preparation: Soil can range from quite acid to alkaline in pH levels, it is important to have good soil preparation to gain the best results when planting natives. This improves the water-holding capacity of the soil and for young plants, once established, will have lower water requirements.

CARE: This plant requires little maintenance and will benefit from tip prune to keep it compact. It is best to initially feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertiliser to help first establish the plant, and it is beneficial to follow up with the occasional reapplication of fertiliser and apply as required. Mulching around the base of the plant will help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
USES: Star Showers is excellent to use for embankment areas and as foliage contrast in planter beds for gardens where height is a restriction or as a specimen tub plant on the patio.
