Tristaniopsis laurina dwarf
Burgundy Blush PBR pending

Burgundy Blush is a dwarf evergreen shrub with rich red foliage from winter to spring. This plant is compact in habit making it suitable for any garden that requires low structured plantings and little maintenance.

POSITION: Grows in full sun to part shade and is adaptable to most well drained soils.

CONDITIONS: Soil pH: 4.5 to 7.0

Soil preparation: Soil can range from quite acid to alkaline in pH levels, it is important to have good soil preparation to gain the best results when planting natives. This improves the water-holding capacity of the soil and for young plants, once established, will have lower water requirements.

Soil is classified into three groups -

CARE: This very hardy compact shrub requires little maintenance. It is best to initially feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertilizer to help establish the plant when first planted. Mulching around the base of the plant will help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

USES: Burgundy Blush's attractive rich red foliage and compact habit makes a stunning low to medium hedge and is the native alternative to Photinia robusta. Burgundy Blush provides contrast in landscapes and gardens making it an extremely versatile plant for informal and formal garden designs.
