Westringia Violet Skies is a hybrid of Westringia Wild River. This plant is suitable for any garden that requires low structured plantings and produces rich green foliage and dainty violet flowers at varies times throughout the year.
POSITION: Grows best in full sun in open areas and is adaptable to most well drained soils.
CONDITIONS: Soil pH: 4.5 to 7.0
Soil preparation: Soil can range from quite acid to alkaline in pH levels, it is important to have good soil preparation to gain the best results when planting natives. This improves the water-holding capacity of the soil and for young plants, once established, will have lower water requirements.

CARE: This hardy shrub requires little maintenance and will thrive on a regular tip prune to create a dense habit. It is best to initially feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertiliser to help establish the plant when first planted. Mulching around the base of the plant will help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
USES: Violet Skies is the perfect choice for use as a low screening or structure plant or for a low hedge and is excellent for coastal gardens. The rich green foliage provides a contrast in landscapes and gardens.
