Penny is a unique selected form of Westringia fruticosa; its natural topiary ball shaped habit with soft grey foliage makes this plant suitable for any garden that requires low structured plantings and requiring little maintenance.
POSITION: Grows best in full sun in open areas and is adaptable to most well drained soils. This plant is ideal to use in coastal gardens.
CONDITIONS: Soil pH: 4.5 to 7.0
Soil preparation: Soil can range from quite acid to alkaline in pH levels, it is important to have good soil preparation to gain the best results when planting natives. This improves the water-holding capacity of the soil and for young plants, once established, will have lower water requirements.

CARE:This very hardy compact shrub requires little maintenance. It is best to intitially feed with a slow release fertiliser to help establish the plant when first planted. Mulching around the base of the plant will help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
USES: Penny's attractive grey succulent like foliage and compact habit is the perfect choice for borders and would be excellent for coastal gardens. Penny's soft grey foliage provides contrast in landscapes and gardens making it an extremely versatile plant for informal and formal garden designs.
